On research conducted recently, it is found that the remote employees can develop a rich bond with their colleagues even when they are working remotely. According to the research data, remote workers don't get to notice much of their colleagues than the people who work in-person, which leads to having less connectivity in terms of body language and general human behavior.
In an 18-months study, an Indian research team has come up with the ideas of developing "cadence" amongst the remote workers and the in-office employees. The inference made on the research data suggests certain tips such as involvement with co-curricular activities, being a reliable work partner and responding promptly to remote coworkers, etc., can help endure productive engagement between the workers.
