Medical insurers, last week, predicted that the employer medical benefit costs will continue to rise at the same rate this year in Asia-Pacific Region, as it was last year. This was the prediction by a few well-known advisors, while the others predicted that the market might exceed the 7.1 percent average increase.
The recent case studies by APAC insurers show that the coming years might see an outgrowing concern over mental health disorders, and it might need strong health coverage for the same. However, at present, about 50 percent of the employers are excluding mental health coverage from the policy plans.
