Microsoft's co-founder Bill Gates has stepped down from the company's board of members to work toward charity organizations to work more on Philantrophic front concerning global health, education, and climate change. The company now has 12 board members after Gates stepping down and shows what a successful succession planning looks like with Microsoft being one of the biggest worldly recognized technological companies.
With Microsoft, Gates also steps down from Warren Buffet owned Berkshire Hathway, wherein he was an incumbent as one of the board members since 2004. Bill also runs a charity organization along with his wife Melinda Gates called Bill &Melinda Gates Foundation, which is dedicated to support global health and to combat disease and fight poverty. Gates currently holds the second position in the Forbes' list of top 10 billionaires of the world.
